The NITCAA Entrepreneurship Series has been one of the hallmark events of NITCAA Cochin Chapter. However post Covid, there was a delay to get this series restarted due to multiple constraints. Finally NITCAA Cochin, was able to get this resumed on the 2nd of July 2024, with Mr Anoop Ambika, CEO of Kerala Startup Mission as the Chief Guest.
The Entrepreneurial Lecture Series, hosted at RECCAA CLUB, brought together a vibrant mix of aspiring, budding, and established entrepreneurs from across Kerala. The event served as a platform for insightful discussions, knowledge sharing, and networking, reinforcing the spirit of entrepreneurship.
The function started with a brief session by Mr. Razin Rahman, a multipreneur, who is an alumnus of NITC (2004 batch) on his entrepreneurial journery. He emphasized the importance of identifying and understanding business models, highlighting how successful startups are built on well-structured, scalable models. One of his key messages was that cash flow is king—while profitability is important, a business cannot survive without a steady and well-managed cash flow. Mr. Razin also stressed that a startup must solve a fundamental problem, and entrepreneurs should clearly understand the pain points they are addressing. He urged attendees to actively identify business opportunities by looking at unsolved problems, staying updated on technological advancements, and analyzing how these innovations reshape everyday life. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of networking, as meaningful connections and strategic partnerships play a crucial role in entrepreneurial success.

Another key highlight of the session was an engaging fireside chat with Mr. Anoop Ambika, CEO of Kerala Startup Mission, and Mr. Santhosh Melekalathil, Secretary NITCAA Cochin Chapter. Mr. Anoop shared valuable insights into Kerala’s startup ecosystem and encouraged entrepreneurs to embrace challenges, overcome the fear of failure, and celebrate the freedom that comes with innovation. Mr Anoop Ambika also shared the vision of Kerala Startup Mission, and how it is poised to provide an excellent launchpad for Kerala’s Entrepreneurs. With the advent of more Investor Groups, and with flagship programs such as Huddle Global, he ensured the entrepreneurs that there wont be any shortage of financial support, if they have a great innovative idea that can be taken forward.

Adding to the enriching discussions,. Meanwhile, Mr. P K Gopalakrishnan led an insightful session on angel investments for startups, providing attendees with crucial knowledge about early-stage funding.
