RECCAA Charitable Society (RCS)

Regional Engineering College Calicut Alumni Association (RECCAA), the predecessor of NITCAA, Cochin Chapter was formed in 1984 by alumni of REC Calicut (presently NITC) under the patronage of late Prof. P M Jussay.

In 2007, the RECCAA Charitable Society (RCS) was established by merging RECCAA Center and RECCAA Housing society with a vision to contribute to society.

One of the RCS’s projects was to create a family club for socializing through professionally and personally relevant initiatives and cultural activities. In 2011, the strong culture of “Reccaaits” and their collective efforts brought this dream to life, starting the construction and leading to the creation of the RECCAA CLUB.

The RECCAA Club is owned and managed by the RECCAA Charitable Society.  All members of RCS are alumni of REC/NIT and joined after paying a membership fee. NITCAA Cochin Chapter and RCS jointly conduct various charitable and social programs for the betterment of the community. Entrepreneur Lecture series, Flood relief programs etc. are prime examples.

RECCAA Club

With over 1600 strong members and with various modern amenities, RECCAA Club is the best social club in South India and offers membership to NIT alumni and the general public. It is one of the unique and successful such projects by any alumni organization.  Founder committee President Mr Francis K Paul and Secretary Mr. Chilpraskah played a pivotal role in making RECCAA Club, what it is today – one of the premier clubs in India.
